I didn't notice a big difference in quality, but it gives me piece of mind that I don't have my equipment just plugged into the wall. I saw this exact same product/model at RC Willey for $99.99. I paid a lot less than that at Amazon.
The picture quality was better than on my other Samsung,which is a better model than the new one.After adding the surge protector to the other TV, the difference that this model created regarding picture quality was hard to believe. Having purchased my second Samsung HDTV from amazon, I decided to add surge protection. Price I got on this model was fantastic.I first installed one on the new TV. I thought the picture on my 1080 was great before, now so much more sharper. Highly recommend this devise.
It has a nice long cord, and I like the fact that it comes with a short run of good quality coax cable included in the package. So far, this product does what it is supposed to do, although I haven't experienced any noticable increase in picture or sound quality. I like the "color coded and labeled" plugs to simplify unplugging the right thing. Monster always makes good stuff, and I was thrilled to see this at such a good price on Amazon. When I recently bought my new Hi-Def TV, the salesman at my local store tried to sell me the EXACT same surge protector for $99.99.
everything was great. the product came a few days after i ordered it as promised and i payed significantly less that what is being charged in stores. i would certianly buy from here again.
I can't speak highly enough of this device. Long story short, this power center completely cured the problem and all channels are crystal clear--no background noise what so ever. Recently purchased 47-inch LG LED television and, upon setting it all up, was completely devastated to see a solid horizontal line creeping up the screen on most digital (Cox) cable channels. Was less pronounced when particular energy-saving florescent light was off, so I knew it must be electrical interference. Also have connected cable line though the power center and have piece of mind against power surges. For the price, this product is a no-brainer.
